Jenny Van Houdt

Jenny Van Houdt is a PhD candidate in English at the University of Washington where she studies the end of the world across print, stage, and screen.

Though from various parts of the Pacific Northwest, she’s called Seattle home since 2011. Van Houdt is currently wrapping up her dissertation about the problems of imagining the end of the world and how it ruptures everyday belief systems, while teaching a range of writing and literature courses that focus on how we make sense of the world.
